The Indy Lights race at Road America has been red-flagged on lap 10 of 20 following a spectacular incident involving Christian Bogle…
Bogle got airborne over a kerb on the approach to Turn 5, with his HMD Motorsports car spearing to the outside and tearing down a significant portion of the catch fence (pictured).
Bogle was unharmed, but due to lengthy delays in repairing the fencing, a decision has been made to put the remaining ten laps on hold until after the imminent Sonsio Grand Prix INDYCAR race.
The new restart time is estimated for 2:15 pm / 21.15.
Linus was running eighth at the time of the red-flag, having dropped two places on the original start – but remaining confident of making up ground in the late stages.
LINUS: “First of all, I’m thankful that Christian is OK. That’s the most important thing. As for the race, I got a good start but some wheelspin coming up across the crest. The car is fast, I feel fast, and hopefully we can make up some ground once we get going again.”
