From second on the grid, Linus was run wide at Turn 1 by Sting Ray Robb at the start, dropping temporarily to sixth but battling back to P5 a few corners later.
He then picked up a further two places as others ran into trouble, coming home in P3 just behind team-mate Benjamin Pedersen.
The race was won by Andretti Autosport’s Matthew Brabham following drama on the penultimate lap when erstwhile leader Christian Rasmussen retired.
