Linus set the pace in an undramatic opening practice session for this weekend’s Indy Lights round at Road America, as only a few laps were completed as drivers opted to save up tyres for later in the event…
After sitting out the first half of the 30-minute session, Linus instantly slotted into P1 on his short, four-lap run and ended up 0.2s clear of HMD Motorsports team-mate Danial Frost.
LINUS: “It’s been a good day. It’s always awesome to come back to Road America. It’s a great track and it’s always exciting to go around here. We’ll see how the weekend goes; obviously it’s still extremely early days with so few laps today. The weather might play a joker in all of this, so we’ll keep an eye on that. The car seems to be in a good place, I seem to be in a good place, so we’ll keep on pushing.”
The field is back on track on Saturday morning for a second practice session, which is expected to feature more laps across the board in more relevant conditions ahead of qualifying.
