Linus opted against running any new tyres in FP2, instead saving them up for later in the weekend.
Benjamin Pedersen led the way ahead of Danial Frost in an HMD Motorsports 1-2, sending a message of encouragement from the team leading into qualifying, with a trio of Andretti Autosport cars then following suit and Linus completing the top six.
With times appearing ultra-close – the entire field covered by less than a second – the stage is set for a memorable qualifying showdown in a few hours’ time.
LINUS: “It’s going to be close. I feel ready. We didn’t run any new tyres here, and some of the others did, so with all of us being within two tenths up front it’s certainly going to be interesting. I think we’re in the mix for pole and that’s what I’ll be shooting for.”
