Linus enjoyed a strong start to the Indy Lights weekend at Portland to go second fastest in Friday’s opening practice session, lapping just 0.04s off the outright pace…
Despite turning just 11 laps as he left it late to join the party, Linus swiftly found his feet around the Oregon road course to squeeze in between HMD Motorsports team-mate Benjamin Pedersen and championship runner-up Matthew Brabham.
The leading trio were covered by less than a tenth, with Christian Bogle taking fourth and Sting Ray Robb rounding out the top five.
LINUS: “It’s a good start. We didn’t do a lot of laps, but I think the track is going to pick up a lot of grip over the weekend, so that will be the main thing to look out for. INDYCAR will have a pair of sessions and there are plenty of other support series here, so we need to keep an eye on track evolution.
“That said, the pace seems to be there straight away, which is always encouraging, so let’s try to keep it up tomorrow.”
Coming up next is Practice 2 and qualifying on Saturday.
