Ending the 45-minute session down in ninth, it was a less than ideal start to the meeting, although hopes remain high of a turnaround later in the weekend.
Championship leader Kyle Kirkwood set the early pace.
LINUS: “Not a great start to be honest. There is work to be done, clearly, although we know that some cars up ahead (including both Juncos machines) fitted new tyres which is worth a lot around here. That said, we’re still quite far off, so we need to have a look and see what can be done for the rest of the weekend. I’m confident we can turn it around – the team is great – so hopefully we’ll be able to bounce back stronger tomorrow!”
Saturday’s schedule contains the first qualifying session and race of the weekend.
