The NTT INDYCAR SERIES kickstarts Month of May activities at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend when the Sonsio Grand Prix is first out on IMS road course version, a 2.4-mile, 14-turn IMS infield layout – which also incorporates parts of the famous Indy 500 oval.
The build-up then continues throughout the month of May to conclude with, ”the Greatest Spectacle in Racing”, the classic Indianapolis 500 on May 26.
After a fantastic race and the first INDYCAR podium of his career two weeks ago at Barber Motorsport Park, Linus will once again return to a familiar track with very positive memories. He had great success in INDY NXT here at IMS road course, with both a win and pole positions. It was also here at IMS road course he got the opportunity at the end of last year to make one of the his successful INDYCAR entries in car #60 for Meyer Shank Racing.
– This weekend we will return once again to a track I have very fond memories of and one of the tracks I actually have driven an INDYCAR on – says Linus. It will be exciting to start the Month of May with this race. We got a very good result with us from Barber Motorsports Park two weeks ago, which has boosted the whole team around the American Legion #8 car, we are super excited to try and get a good result again this weekend, Linus concludes.
