- Swede joins Valencia post-season test
- Set to drive for HWA RACELAB, Campos Racing
Linus Lundqvist will participate in the up-coming official FIA Formula 3 Championship test in Valencia, Spain.
An integral part of the Formula 1 support package, the FIA Formula 3 Championship is offering a clear progression path into the highest echelons of motor racing.
Lundqvist, fresh off a maiden Euroformula Open campaign that included a pole position at the recent Monza finale, is set to contest two of the three days of the imminent post-season test at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
The Swedish 20-year-old will drive for HWA RACELAB on the opening day of running on Sunday (October 20), before swapping across to Campos Racing the following day (October 21).
The test marks the first time Lundqvist runs with HWA RACELAB, while he previously tested with Campos Racing in FIA F3 predecessor series GP3 last year in Abu Dhabi.
“I am looking forward to these two days of testing in Valencia,” says Linus Lundqvist. “It will be my first time at the track and my first taste of the FIA F3 car, so I’m sure there will be plenty to learn. I’m excited to work with HWA RACELAB for the first time, and likewise to resume my relationship with Campos Racing. We will take it step by step and I’m happy about the prospect of gaining some valuable track time in this exciting championship.”
Results, comments and reaction will be published at Linus Lundqvist’s official Facebook page throughout the two days of running.
