Linus kept his cool to complete a long road to victory in the final race of the weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, overcoming a drastic change in weather conditions and a five-hour interruption on his way to Victory Lane.
After being halted on lap 15 of 35 due to lightning and incoming inclement weather, the race finally restarted some five hours later, with Linus instantly picking up where he left off: in the lead.
While the first part of the race had taken place in the dry, the resumption played out in the wet, giving the drivers a very different deck of cards at hand.
Linus, however, showed no signs of faltering at the front, leading every lap to eventually claim a comfortable victory more than 3.5 seconds clear of second-placed Christian Rasmussen.
With his second win of the season, Linus further extends his lead in the Indy Lights standings.
LINUS: “It’s been a long day, but boy was it worth the wait! Getting out there on wets for the first time of the weekend in the middle of a race was certainly a bit special, but I felt comfortable in the car from the get-go. I was able to pull away and start looking after the tyres, and just bring it home. It’s great to win again and a massive thanks to the team, of course.”
