Controlling the race through two caution periods and restarts, Linus delivered his first win on a street track in the most emphatic style possible, triumphing in Indy Lights for the sixth time in his career.
LINUS: “That was the perfect race. We had to work for it with two safety car restarts, but I was able to stretch a gap and maintain a lot of push to pass for the closing stages. I’m thrilled to win at a street track for the first time and big thanks to the team for giving me this great car.”
Further extending his championship lead, Linus got to take a dive in Belle Isle’s traditional Scott Fountain to celebrate his third win of the 2022 campaign.
Racing resumes in Detroit on Sunday with the concluding Race 2, with Linus once again set to start from pole position.
