Linus took a measured approach on his way to the fifth fastest time in practice for this weekend’s Indy Lights round in Detroit…
While Linus racked up a trouble-free 20 laps on Indy Lights’ first visit to the Belle Isle street track since 2012, it was a more difficult start to the weekend for Global Racing Group with HMD Motorsports team-mate David Malukas, who completed just four laps after crashing and bringing out the red flags early on.
When running eventually resumed following the retrieval of Malukas’ car, Linus was among a host of drivers to briefly set the pace as times tumbled in the final minutes.
Once the dust settled, it was Kyle Kirkwood who led an Andretti Autosport 1-2 ahead of Danial Frost, with Carlin’s Alex Peroni in third. Juncos Racing’s Toby Sowery was fourth, recording a near-identical time to Linus in P5, both less than half a second off the ultimate pace.
Next up is the first qualifying session of the weekend, set to take place at 🇺🇸2.30 pm / 🇸🇪20.30. Live streaming, as always, is available here at www.linuslundqvistracing.se.
