REPORT: Daytona 24 Hours – After 4 hours
With the Daytona 24 Hours firmly underway, Linus has just completed his first run behind the wheel of the #47 PPM Lamborghini, doing a double stint that kept him in the car for one hour and 52 minutes – comfortably his longest run ever in motorsport.
Linus took over from Don Yount (who started the race) and then encountered a little bit of everything as he negotiated two Full Course Yellow situations and drove the car into dusk.
He shared the track with several superstar names, including Fernando Alonso, Alex Zanardi, Helio Castroneves and René Rast who all completed stints in their own cars simultaneously with Linus.
Having run as the fastest GTD driver for much of his stints, Linus then successfully handed the car over to Steve Dunn who is currently in control of driving duties. The #47 crew sit in 20th place in class after four hours.
Linus is currently due to be back in the car at roughly 01.00 local time.
