Barber – Race 1: Linus wins on Indy Lights debut!

Linus wasted no time to enter Victory Lane in the INDYCAR support paddock as he sprinted off to an empathic win on his Indy Lights debut at Barber Motorsports Park.

Leading the pack away from pole, Linus nailed the rolling start – a first for him in single-seater racing – to maintain a lead he would never surrender.

Behind, there was early drama as David Malukas and Kyle Kirkwood collided at Turn 1 and brought out the safety car.

Linus comfortably managed the restart process, however, eventually winning by 5.3 seconds from Benjamin Pedersen as Global Racing Group with HMD Motorsports celebrated a one-two triumph to kick-start the campaign.

Linus also picks up the bonus point on offer for leading the most (all) laps of the race, and claims an early championship lead.
