Linus went third fastest as the Indy Lights round at Barber Motorsports Park kicked off with 45 minutes of opening practice on Friday afternoon…
Linus, who took a victory on his series debut at the Alabama venue last year, slotted in just under two tenths adrift of pace-setting HMD Motorsports team-mate Danial Frost, with Andretti Autosport’s Christian Rasmussen taking second.
“It’s a good start. The track is quite a bit different to when we were here for testing a while ago, over a second slower. That makes set-up comparisons a bit tricky and the car felt somewhat inconsistent.
“Frost (team-mate) was quickest, which is positive as we tried a few different things on our cars that we can now hopefully merge. Driving went well, happy with that, and we’ll keep working from the foundations we have over the rest of the weekend.”
Indy Lights returns to the track on Saturday for second practice, followed by qualifying later in the day.
