The NTT INDYCAR SERIES is taking an exciting new step as the season finale will be held at Nashville Superspeedway for the first time.
Previously, the finale took place on the iconic streets around Broadway in Nashville, but this year, the cars will race on the fast and challenging Nashville Superspeedway – a track known for its high speeds and technical difficulties. Nashville Superspeedway, located about 50 km southeast of downtown Nashville, is a 1.33-mile (2.145 km) oval track with a concrete surface, making it unique in motorsport.
Linus, who recently had a strong weekend at the Milwaukee Mile, comes to Nashville in top form and with high confidence. After qualifying fifth in both races at Milwaukee, Linus showed his immense talent. He delivered a fantastic first race, finishing in an impressive sixth place. Unfortunately, race two turned out a bit chaotic, resulting in a 20th-place finish. However, his performances throughout the weekend have gained significant attention and appreciation.
– The weekend in Milwaukee was very rewarding, especially considering we qualified fifth in both races and secured a sixth-place finish in the first race, – Linus said. We had some bad luck in both races though; there were some issues with the pit stops in the first race and then an unfortunate penalty and a contact with the wall after touching with Felix Rosenqvist in the second race. But I take a lot of positive experiences from the weekend, and we had a fantastic car. Now, I’m really looking forward to the final weekend at Nashville Superspeedway and to finishing the season strong.
Rookie of The Year
After the raceweekend in Milwaukee, we can also confirm that Linus has claimed the prestigious title Rookie of The Year in IndyCar. This title is a highly coveted award that can only be won once in a driver’s IndyCar career, which makes Linus’ achievement even more significant. It’s a testament to his exceptional talent and potential as one of the future stars of motorsport.
