It will be an intense finish to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES season and the majority of the remaining races – four out of five to be exact – will be run on ovals.
First up is this weekend’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) in Madison, Illinois. The 1.25-mile oval featuring varying degrees of banking in each corner. Linus made his very first career INDYCAR oval race here last year with Meyer Shank Racing.
– It has been nice to have some time off and the opportunity to recharge – says Linus. But now I’m really ready to take on the final race weekends. It’ll be intense, absolutely, but it will be exciting to both get back to some old familiar tracks like World Wide Technology Raceway this weekend and Portland next weekend. Then we’ll end the season with two “new” ovals – Milwaukee and Nashville – it will be interesting because it’s been many years since INDYCAR was here racing so it will be a lot of new things for both teams and drivers.
The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 begins on Friday with qualifying and practice sessions. The race is run on Saturday evening (local time), over 260 laps.
