Sweden’s Linus Lundqvist is a quadruple single-seater champion, clinching the 2022 INDY NXT championship, the 2020 Formula Regional Americas title, the 2018 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship and the 2016 Formula STCC Nordic crown. In 2024, he will race the #8 American Legion Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
On October 13, 2018, Linus Lundqvist took the chequered flag at Silverstone to seal his seventh race win of the season – and more crucially, the BRDC British F3 Championship crown. Unsurprisingly, it was a day of significant importance for the Swedish youngster; the ultimate reward for a season of toil, sweat and emotion.
Following a few weeks of reflection, now is the time to look back at the title-winning campaign. From podium exhilaration to despair in the Donington gravel trap, 2018 left none of the involved untouched, as Linus and his Double R Racing team battled personal tragedy to eventually come out on top.
